Blandfords is well recognised throughout Northamptonshire and the surrounding area for its sympathetic and careful approach whilst working in some of the county’s finest buildings both old and new.
Parts of Northamptonshire, and in particular Kettering, can be traced as far back as 956AD and was mentioned in the Domesday Book in 1086.
Whilst we can’t claim to have worked in buildings as old as that, our experience over almost 50 years has led us to help in the restoration and refurbishment of many of the areas historical buildings.
One of our more complex distribution upgrade projects was carried out at Boughton House, a large stately house in Northamptonshire built in the 1500s. We also had the unusual task of tackling the problem of ventilation in the 13th century bone crypt of Rothwell’s Holy Trinity Church, something which was not for the faint-hearted!
Blandfords are also called upon to help out with some of the newest buildings in the area such as the rapidly expanding Index Books, where we installed a 300+ data port network.
Our careful and sympathetic approach along with our experience in dealing with older buildings has led to many of our local churches calling upon us for lighting and security upgrades.
We also have an enviable reputation as a leading provider of new lighting and system upgrades to schools and teaching establishments throughout the area, with teachers, students and budgets all benefiting from Blandfords expertise in providing quality cost-reducing systems.
